UK farmers come together in tractor protest at Parliament over post-Brexit food standards

Activists from Save British Farming (SBF), farmers and their supporters gathered in Parliament Square in London on Wednesday (July 8) to protest about threats to food standards in future trade deals.

Farmers and pro-EU business owners travelled from all over the country to New Covent Garden Market in Nine Elms, London where they formed a convoy of tractors and other vehicles to drive into Parliament Square.

Supporters fear imports of chlorinated chicken and meat from animals pumped full of antibiotics that are currently not permitted under EU regulations.
