Lyssa High talks to Susan Wells from Wells Plastic Surgery about acne caused by face masks.

C1 3 .

Thenpeople are forgetting to use their sunblock.

Lyssa- host: okay.

Susan wells: so another tip is to switchto an oil-free block.

This one's tinted, so you may feel like you don't need asmuch makeup above the mask- lyssa- host: ah, gotcha.

Susan wells: it will keep you clear too.

Lyssa- host: that's good.

I like that.

Susan wells: mm-hmm .

Lyssa- host: then you also have a retinaeformulation as well, and a tip for that, for summertime versus winter time too.

Susan wells: so it is more humid in thesummer and it may be if you're trying to achieve better exfoliation that you gofrom your lower dose retinae up to your higher dose to keep very exfoliated.

Lyssa- host: okay.

Susan wells: another agent we have is anenzyme peel that is universal for any person.

You can use it every day if youwant to.

It's that gentle.

Lyssa- host: nice, and what is that goingto do exactly?

Susan wells: it separates the cells, andit goes down in the pores and cleans them out without irritation.

Lyssa- host: okay.

All right.

Very good.

Susan wells: the other thing is you mightwant to switch your makeup to a mineral makeup, which is anti-inflammatory andoil-free.

You and i both enjoy glo minerals- lyssa- host: we're fans- susan wells: yeah.

We are- lyssa- host: we're fans of glo minerals- susan wells: and maybe, just don't wearmakeup under your mask.

Lyssa- host: yeah.

Well, that's a good tipas well.

All right.

Susan wells: so, maybe you want to go to atreatment at home then.

This is daily home care.

You can do an at home peel.

Lyssa- host: okay.

Susan wells: we have one that's brandedwells, and exfo-express.

You can do it once a week.

Lyssa- host: nice.

Susan wells: you won't peel, peel, but itwill keep you clear.

Lyssa- host: okay.

Susan wells: also, is clinical in responseto the covid crisis, came up with a home facial kit, and this one isparticularly for acne prone skin.

Then when you feel safe and many of ourpatients do, you can come back to the office for treatments.

Lyssa- host: well, you all are taking verystrong precautions during this time too; you have a lot of guidelines andeverything and it's really... what other things are you doing to protect yourpatients at this point?

Susan wells: well, we have three layers ofshielding on our facial patients with the estheticians.

We're wearing faceshields, and actually, there's body shield that goes over them.

Lyssa- host: yeah.

Susan wells: there's no waiting room.

Wescreen every one as they come in, temperature wise, and verbally.

So, we havean operating room here, and we feel like this is one of the safest institutionsin town.

Lyssa- host: well, absolutely.

Well, susan, thank you so much for the tips- susan wells: oh, thank you- lyssa- host: and thank you being with ustoday.

We really appreciate it.

Susan wells: good.
