Body of missing Monroe County swimmer found

The body of a missing swimmer in Monroe County was recovered Monday morning.

Searchers found the body of a woman who disappeared early sunday in the buttahatchee river north of columbus air force base.

Monroe county coroner alan gurley identified her as 26-year- old katlin (pronounced like kaitlyn) nicole beard of hamilton.

Sheriff kevin crook said she and another female jumped into the river off of the highway 373 bridge early sunday.

Beard worked at the post
