Just over 20 percent of men with prostate cancer tested positive for the human papilloma viruses.

The human papillomavirus, or HPV, is a very contagious but often symptomless disease.

The link suggests the viruses could cause a cancer that kills an estimated 30,000 American men annually.

The data shows the virus may play causal role in prostate cancer, as well as cervical cancer.

There is no cure for HPV but there are treatments available reports UPI.
