Local businesses in Glenn County are reacting to the new restrictions announced this week by the governor.

First - glenn county is feeling the impacts of the second shutdown more than any other county.

Action news now reporter kristian lopez spoke with one local business owner and shows us how he plans on moving forward.

Jack: here we go again, more of the same, closing down, laying off employees it's a difficult thing.

Kristian: jack wasenious owner of berry patch restaurant here in orland tells me he plans to shut down temporarily while he figures out what comes next.

Jack: all the mitigation things we've done didn't make a difference they still closed us down jack was-in-eous has owned the restaurant for over a decade.

He is now facing a second shutdown.

Jack: i understand why though when you look at what's been happening, the spread of the virus.

Kristian stand up: he says even though he has thi* outdoor patio available jack: here we go again, more of the same, closing down, laying off employees it's a difficult thing.

Jack: it doesn't make sense for us to stay open its too hot for people to eat outside.

Who's going to eat outside its too hot.

It's a sad thing.

While the business is closed he plans on improving his restaurant for the future.

Jack: we are going to rebrand, put a drive thru and hopefully open up to something new.

Who knows what's going to happen we have no definite answers, every week something changes, what was good is not good anymore.

But it's no longer about profit&.

It's about survival.

Kristian: the restaurant will be open for take- out and outdoor dining through this week.
