Madison county mother julie jones is a board member at the booster club at sparkman high school and her son is on the foot ball team... she joins us now to talk more about the issue... thank so much for being with us... julie as head of the booster club what type of feedback are you hearing from parents?

Kay ivey extended the state's amended safer at home order and masking requirement.

Governor ivey made an addition to the order, which requires students and employees to wear masks "whenever practical" from second grade through college... what's your perspective on that decision?

Many parents have expressed frustration and feel it's hypocritical that students are allowed to play sports, but can't return to the classroom.

What is your perspective on that?

Your son is an athlete at sparkman high school and plays football, what are some of the questions and concerns he has shared with you?

What were the factors you took into consideration in allowing your son to play football?

This week we received reports people associated with teams tested positive for coronavirus and then the entire team having to quarantine... what is the protocol for your son's team?

How is the school and coaches keeping players safe?

This has been a difficult situation to navigate for everyone... from your perspective what have the schools done well, and how could they do better?

At this point no one know what the future holds...but where do you see things going in terms of school sports if alabama doesn't flatten the curve?
