On Thursday, 44News confirmed that four Vanderburgh County daycares have reported positive COVID-19 cases.

White... a staggering number of cases emerging this week out of vanderburgh county-- and a positivity rate-- on the rise-- but it's where those cases are being discovered-- and who is now getting the virus that is raising red flags among local health leaders-- 44 news reporter tyler druin has been looking into the data-- he joins us now with what he's just found out..

Tyler... "over the last week we have had daycares report positive cases in our youngest population" thursday 44news confirmed that four area vanderburgh county daycares have seen an increase in coronavirus cases - a slew of positive results in children have been reported - those results impacting our youngest population - "less than a year and right between the ages of one and five" despite the recent up-tick in cases with infants and toddlers here in vanderburgh county, health officials say they're also seeing an increase of covid-19 cases with high school athletes - "we are seeing children under the age of 18 that are involved in sports, as coming across as some of our positives" across the bridge in kentucky - the gov.

Reporting 22 cases in children under five - one of those from ohio county - a study just release from the medical journal of pediatrics- relieved - children under the age of five - had equal not more covid19 in their noses compared to older children and adults.
