Journalist Vikram Joshi murder: Last absconding accused held, say police

Ghaziabad police arrested the last remaining accused in journalist Vikram Joshi murder case.

The accused Akash Bihari, who was absconding, is resident of Mata colony in Ghaziabad.

Police had also placed a reward of Rs 25000 on accused Akash Bihari.

Nine other accused in the murder case had been arrested previously.

"Nine accused were previously arrested.

Accused Aakash Bihari was absconding.

Akash Bihari has been arrested.

All the accused in the case have been nabbed.

Chargesheet will be filed soon," said SSP Ghaziabad, Kalanidhi Naithani.

Vikram Joshi was shot in the head by goons near his home in Vijay Nagar on the night of July 20.

The incident took place when he was returning home on a two-wheeler.

35-year-old Joshi succumbed to his injuries on July 22 at a private hospital.

Earlier, Joshi had filed police complaint against some men who were harassing his niece.

Joshi's family said local police took no action on complaints filed earlier against goons.

Ghaziabad Police had suspended police station incharge of the area where Joshi was shot.

Probe in the case was transferred from local Vijay Nagar to Kotwali Nagar police station.
