Maya Vander teases drama on Season 3 of 'Selling Sunset'

"Selling Sunset" star Maya Vander teases what's to come on the third season of the Netflix reality show.

Well, I hear there's a little favoritismover at The Oppenheim Group this season.Yeah, so, well, you know, we always joke about it.So Jason and Mary had been dating for a long timebefore Mary even had a license, and then she got the licenseand she joined the The O Group. So, Jason, the brokerage, it's only him, basically, and us girls now.Jason gets busy and he has a lot of clients that,it's hard to handle a lot of them.So I feel like he does dedicate some of them, maybe a little bit, towards Mary a little bit,but to be fair, I'm also not there full time anymore,so I can't expect him to give me any businesswhen I'm not physically in the office. But yeah, you're gonna see that in season three. So tell me a little bit about, because you're spending some of your time in Miamiand some of it in California. How did that come about, and where are you? What are you doing?Yeah, so, before we started filming the show,I was actually in L.A.

For a long time, 15 years, and with The O Group, three prior to the show. And then my husband got a job to Miami,so we relocated, and then the show got picked up,so I technically moved back to film the showand to be in L.A.

And to just get real estate goingwith the show. And it's been challenging.First season, I was flying every weekend back and forth.I was pregnant with my first baby. That was doable.Second season, I literally lived in L.A.for a couple of months and my husbandwas doing the back-and-forth.Now I had second baby, and now I'm in Miami,I'm quarantined here, and I'm goingto focus more on real estate in Miami, and maybe discussing opportunities, which you might see in season three,I don't know if they're going to show it or not, possibly even doing Oppenheim Group in Miami.Oppenheim Group in Miami? That's gonna be exciting.Yeah, that's an idea that me and Jason were brainstorming, but it's not just easy to open a brokerage tomorrow,so it takes more than that.I think there is a market for it in Miami, and that would be great for me, to be associatedwith such a luxurious brand in Miami, Florida. But it's just an idea for now, and we'll see how it goes.So what made you decide to get on board with the projectbefore it was picked up?Yeah, so "Million Dollar Listing"is a very successful reality show with real estate, and I know it really helped them to promote their business. And I do real estate, that's truly my career. So that was the reason that I joined "Selling Sunset."I wanted to just elevate my businessto the next level and just get more recognition, because real estate is not easy.I mean, you deal with a lot of rejections, and clients are not loyal. It's not as easy as you see on those shows, including our show.So I was hoping it's gonna help me more with business, especially if I want to focus in Miami,to at least get my brand and my name,so it will be easier for me to continuemomentum of business. And obviously the show is not about real estate, necessarily, 100%.It's more of a lifestyle show, but you do see real estate. So we'll see how it goes.I mean, we do get good positivity feedbacks.I just hope I'm gonna get more business out of it.
