To do it ."

Cindy ellis is a retired teacher from the lee county school district..

She said she wasn't nervous for her child to go back to school.

"i felt fine with my child coming to school because i know the teachers, everybody had done everything they can to prepare for this."

Parent, kristi stone was also on the pick up line.

Kiristi didn't want to be on camera but she was excited because she feels her kid is in good hands.

"they're wearing masks, they're socially distancing when the can.

I think at some point you just have to take every precaution that you can and leave it in god's hands."

Joyce robinson chose to not be on camera either.

Her great great granddaughter is a student at saltillo high school.

Joyce said she didn't want to send her back to school, but she did it to to make her grandchild happy.

"i'm raising her so if i get the corona virus then who's going to take care of her?

That's the way i think about it because i don't have anybody else to do it."

Classes are fully traditional, but parents did have the option to put their kids in distant learning.
