They say many people decided to go ahead and retire and others were staying home to help take care of children.

It's a good opportunity for people who are sort of reevaluating their work situation to get some training.northeast indiana's unemployment rate ranges from 5% for lagrange and adams counties to 8.6% in allen county.as businesses open up to hire again-- finding people to fill the roles is going to be vital.

Northeast indiana works has a training program providing $10,000 toward tuition and fees when you sign up with them.indiana tech is the latest to receive a workforce ready grant to make sure free training is provided for construction, and information technology just to name a few.

Ivy tech is also providing a new training program where they're partnering with local manufacturing companies helping high schoolers in their transition into the workforce.>11:57:38-11:58:02 "they develop the curriculum that's going to meet their exact needs in their companies.

It will help train them in the areas of electrical skills, mechanical skills, hydrolic skills, automations, robotics, so they are going to have a wide skill set that's going to be able to transfer them to all of these partner companies that we're working with."
