'What will happen to kids?': Murdered UP journalist's father breaks down

Father of Uttar Pradesh Journalist Ratan Singh broke down while speaking about his son's death.

Ratan Singh was shot dead in Phephna village of Ballia district.

UP police said property dispute was the reason behind the killing.

Three accused have been arrested in connection with the murder.

"They were around 10 people, they beat my son with sticks.

He called the police station in-charge who then went to the spot.

But the police station in-charge came back.

Had he stayed there, my son would have been alive," Ratan Singh's father, Vinod Singh said.

"Both our children lost their lives.

What will happen to their kids?

How many more days will we survive?," he added.

UP Minister Anand Swarup Shukla visited the district hospital following Ratan Singh's death.

He said, "Ratan Singh was a jovial and social journalist.

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has condemned the incident.

We will take strict actions against the culprits.

Police have already arrested a few people.
