Kentucky's governor is expressing his disapproval of new COVID-19 testing guidelines recently published by the CDC that say not everyone who has been in close contact with a COVID-19 patient needs to be tested.

The c-d-c doing an about face when it comes to covid-19 testing guidelines.

The nation's top health agency says --- you don't need to get tested*if you aren't showing any symptoms. adding -- there is no need to stand in line*even if you have come into contact with some with covid-19.

Kentucky governor andy beshear is raising concerns over the new recommendatio ns.

But local leaders continue to stress the impact of asymptomatic spread.

"i'm not going to speculate on the why on this but it's bad policy-- butted to 40:54-41:04 if we could test everybody in kentucky we'd have more than 600 cases but guess what we could start the contract tracing and the quarantine and we cold be through this thing."
