Baltimore County is beginning a renewable energy project at its Eastern Sanitary Landfill in White Marsh.

COUNTY EXECUTIVEJOHNNY OLSZEWSKI SAYS THEY'LLPAY TO USE METHANE CREATED BYDECAYING GARBAGE AT THE WHITEMARSH LANDFILL.

THAT ENERGYWILL HELP OFFSET THE POWERNEEDS OF COUNTY-OWNEDFACILITIES.

OLSZEWSKI SAYS THEBIGGEST PART THOUGH... IS THEPOSITIVE IMPACT THIS WILL HAVEAGAINST CLIMATE CHANGE.
