Pet of the Week: Diesel, Matthew, and Tyson
Diesel, Matthew, and Tyson are looking for their forever homes.

Midday."

Newswatch 12 for you, this is watching out grill.

Northwest from taprock grants pass from taprock northwest grill.

Watching out for you, this is newswatch 12 midday."

Welcome back to newswatch 12 midday and meet one of our pets of the week this week, diesel!

Diesel is a handsome, people-loving guy who is 6 years old, and full of life.

This guy has a smile on his face all the time and is happy to let you know that he thinks you're terrific and wants to play.

He'll behave best when he's included in most of your daily activities because he just wants to hang out with his people.

If he gets bored, it's likely he will look for ways to entertain himself when his people are away from home.

Besides playing tug of war and fetch, diesel thinks it's fun to pose for photos, as you can see.

All this charm and personality kept his handlers in play groups at the shelter laughing anytime he's out with them.

But he wants you to know that he expects respect from any canine friends and may not be a dog-park kinda guy.

But mellow dogs who give him his space and could be his best friends.

Another thing he wants you to know is that while we were told that he's a labrador retriever mix, his body and movement style suggests that he has some bulldog in his genes.

That means he needs gentle exercise and protection from the heat.

Diesel gets excited because he just loves to have fun, so his people should be able to handle this shorter, stocky, very strong boy!

He came to the shelter when his people had medical issues and could no longer take care of him, so he's looking for his furever home and oh-so willing to share loads of fun and love.

Our next pets of the week are two 13-week old orange tabby kitten brothers, matthew and tyson.

These boys need to be adopted together as a two for one because they are bonded and tyson has special needs.

He has limited vision but does very well since he was born with this condition, but will likely lose the balance of his sight sometime in the future.

His brother matthew is his bff and will help him continue to cope well as their lives continue.

Other than the practical reason, it's a win-win for the 2-legged folks who take these boys into their family because they are loads of fun.

Other great characteristics of these two are that they are smart, loving and oh-so friendly.

Their foster mom has often expressed that they have been a joy to have in her home and would be a wonderful addition to any household that can meet their needs.

They have interacted well with adult cats, and have had loads of positive experiences with grade school aged kids.

If you have any questions or are interested in adopting these boys, please call the jackson county animal shelter, 541-774-6654, to make an appointment to meet them.
