Actor Kangana Ranaut and her sister Rangoli Chandel have been granted interim relief from arrest by the Bombay High Court. The High court also asked them to honour the summons and appear before the police for questioning on 8th of January. The High Court bench also questioned why the sedition charge had been imposed against Kangana and her sister. ‘Why is the sedition section invoked? Why are we treating citizens of our country like this?’ Justice Shinde said. ‘If someone does not fall in line with the government, then can sedition charges be invoked?’ the court asked. Kangana and her her sister are accused of creating hatred and communal tension through their social media posts. The high court was hearing a petition filed by Ranaut and her sister, seeking to quash the FIR and the October 17 order passed by the magistrate. The court advised public prosecutor Deepak Thakare to consider holding a workshop for police and sensitise them on what sections need to be invoked in which case. Actor Alia Bhatt revisited her childhood days in a new video shared on Instagram. In the video, Alia is seen running around in a forest and playing with two kids. Alia captioned it, 'Childhood! A time when the world feels like your playground'. After months of staying indoors, the 27-year-old actor had recently resumed work. Earlier this month, Alia was joined by the Brahmastra team for a 10-day schedule in Mumbai. The fantasy drama was scheduled to release in December 2020 after several delays. Ahead of District Development Council (DDC) elections, BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain in Srinagar campaigning for the party. He also interacted with the locals at Dal Lake. Speaking to ANI on DDC election, Hussain assured that lotus will bloom in Dal Lake. "The people here are with us. Narendra Modi lives in the hearts of the people of Kashmir. This time the lotus will bloom in Dal Lake," said Hussain. BJP also deployed Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur for DDC polls. The DDC elections are schedules to start from November 28.
Kashmir Border Security Force (BSF) Inspector General Rajesh Mishra reacted on multiple ceasefire violations by Pakistan. He said that lot of harm was inflicted on civilians including damage to their properties and issue of human rights violation should be raised.
The Bombay High Court has rejected the interim bail plea of Republic TV editor Arnab Goswami. ‘No case has been made out for us to exercise our extraordinary jurisdiction,’ a division bench of the High Court said. Meanwhile, Maharashtra Govwernor Bhagat Sigh Koshyari spoken to the state home minister Anil Deshmukh and conveyed his concern for Arnab’s health and security. He also urged the minister to allow Arnab’s family members to meet and speak to him. Goswami and two others were arrested by Alibaug police on November 4 in connection with the suicide of architect-interior designer Anvay Naik and his mother in 2018 over alleged non-payment of dues by companies of the three accused. Arnab Goswami was initially kept at a local school which is designated as a COVID-19 quarantine centre for the Alibaug prison. He was shifted to the Taloja jail in Raigad district on Sunday after allegedly being found using a mobile phone while in judicial custody. A big political war has also erupted over Goswami’s arrest in the case with BJP leaders protesting in several places. Watch the full video for all the details.

Arnab Goswami has moved the Bombay High Court challenging his arrest in the 2018 suicide case of interior designer Anvay Naik and his mother. Goswami was arrested on Wednesday morning for allegedly abetting the suicide of interior designer Anvay Naik, and was taken to the Alibaug police station in neighbouring Raigad district. He was later produced before a magistrate's court in Alibaug which remanded him in judicial custody till November 18. Meanwhile, BJP leader Ram Kadam met Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and demanded action against the police personnel for allegedly assaulting Goswami. Kadam also announced that he will hold a hunger strike outside the State Secretariat on Friday against Goswami's arrest. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said that all the BJP leaders who have condemned Goswami’s arrest should go and meet the family members of Anvay Naik. Several top BJP leaders including the Home Ministers had tweeted against the arrest of the Republic TV editor calling it an attack on press freedom. Watch the full video for all the details.

Bollywood actor Rhea Chakraborty was seen at Santacruz police station on Thursday. The actor, who is out on bail, was marking her presence at the police station. The actor was granted bail by the Bombay High Court on Wednesday. Rhea has to mark her presence every day for 10 days at the nearest police station between 11 am and 5 pm. The actor was arrested in a drug-related case in connection with Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide. Rhea was released after 28 days after she was arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). BSF troops conducted Flag Meeting with Pak Rangers to handover body of a Pakistani national. Meeting was held near BP No.64. Pakistan national was killed on Nov 23 near BS fence. 11 troops of BSF and 15 troops of Pak Rangers participated in Flag Meeting. During flag meeting BSF troops asked Pak Rangers to identify the dead body and to provide documents in support. After receipt of documents pertaining to identification of killed Pak National, the dead body was handed over to Pak Rangers on proper receipt and with full honour.
India repatriated over 20 Pakistani prisoners on November 24. The prisoners were sent to their home country via the Attari-Wagah border crossing. A team of doctors from Chandigarh's hospital is conducting COVID-19 tests of people, who are travelling back from New Delhi and other areas. The rapid antigen tests were being conducted at Sector 17 bus stand. Both passengers and staff, including bus drivers and conductors are being tested at the centres. The step was taken due to the rising COVID infections in the national capital. According to the Health ministry, there are 1081 active cases in the city.
