Supporters of the animal welfare organisation Peta have demonstrated outsideSomerset House in central London, protesting against the killing of animals tomake shoes and bags, at London Fashion Week. It comes as the charity claimsthat conservation experts warn that the trade in exotic skins risks fuellingthe spread of diseases like Covid-19. British brands such as Mulberry,Victoria Beckham, and Vivienne Westwood are all free from exotic skins, whilea few labels, such as Burberry, continue to use them.

Madame Tussauds' most popular figures led by example as they formed a socially distanced queue outside the wax museum on Thursday to celebrate the venue's reopening after months of closure due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Madame Tussauds London, Sea Life London Aquarium and The London Dungeon areset to reopen their doors for the first time since being shut down during theCovid-19 pandemic. Merlin Entertainments said these and other majorattractions including the lastminute.com London Eye and Shrek’s Adventure!London will reopen with enhanced hygiene and safety measures on August 1.
