Tibetans hold anti-China protest in solidarity with Special Frontier Force commando in New York

Members of the Tibetan community in New York organised a protest against China at Jackson Heights, also known as Little India, to show their solidarity with SSF (Special Frontier Force) commando Nyima Tenzin.

Nyima, a Tibetan-Indian hero of the elite covert paramilitary unit SFF was killed on the night of 29-30 August in eastern Ladakh in India.

The 51-year old soldier died after he stepped on to a 1962 vintage anti-personnel mine near the southern bank of the Pangong lake.

The Tibetan community across the world is angry about China's recent aggression in Ladakh and they accused Beijing for occupying Tibet for the past several decades.

The Tibetan National Congress led by President Tseten Lhagyal also held solidarity prayers as a tribute to brave SFF commando Nyima Tenzin.

The Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) belongs to the Tibetan refugee community that has settled in India due to Chinese atrocities.

‘Why no surgical strike on Chinese forces in Ladakh?’ Owaisi counters BJP

AIMIM Leader Asaduddin Owaisi has lashed out at the BJP over am party leader’s remark on conducting ‘surgical strikes’ in Old Hyderabad to weed out Rohingyas and nationals from Afghanistan and Pakistan. Owaisi challenged the BJP and said that they have 24 hours to name Pakistanis residing in the area. ‘The BJP leader said they will conduct surgical strikes and flush out Pakistanis and Rohingyas. I want to ask BJP on whom you would conduct surgical strikes? These people living in the old city are Indian citizens. I give you 24 hours to tell how many Pakistanis live here?’ Owaisi said. The AIMIM leader also mocked PM Modi and questioned why no ‘surgical strike’ was conducted on the Chinese forces who have taken over Indian territory in Ladakh. Owaisi said that PM Modi does not even name China even though the People’s Liberation Army has transgressed into Indian territory. The war of words comes ahead of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal polls. Earlier, BJP leader Tejasvi Surya had said that Owaisi speaks the language of rabid Islam and likened him to Jinnah. India-China 7th round of Corps Commander-level talks: All you need to know

India and China are holding the 7th round of Corps Commander-level talks to reduce tension along the LAC that has been festering since May 2020. The Indian side has been demanding comprehensive disengagement at all flashpoints and restoration of status quo ante of early April, 2020. China on the other hand wants India to withdraw from all strategic heights on the southern bank of Pangong Tso. Indian forces had taken an aggressive stand and occupied several strategic heights on the southern and northern Pangong lake area preempting Chinese attempts to take them over. After the 6th round of talks, the two sides released a joint statement agreeing not to send any more troops to the frontline. The seventh round of talks would be the last one to be attended by present corps commander of Fire and Fury Corps Lt Gen Harinder Singh. The two sides have been engaged in a tiff along the LAC with China attempting to change the status-quo several times. A violent faceoff also took place between the two sides in the Galwan valley on 15th of June, 2020. Watch the full video for all the details.
