The Adirondack Central School District Board of Education is set to vote on whether or not to participate in interscholastic athletics in the fall, while school administrators anticipating postponement.

Adirondack central school district is the latest to address this issue.

Adirondack superintendent edward niznik sent out a letter saying that the school board is set to vote on the fate of interscholastic sports in the fall - and that he expects the decision will be not to participate.

Individual schools have been tasked with the decision about playing - and niznik's letter said that the district believes more planning and time would be needed to bring the wildcats out of hibernation - citing not only safety procedures - but also logistics regarding transportation - staffing needs - and locker room and other facilities.

As of now - there are no extracurricular activities being held throughout the district.

The formal vote is anticipated to take place tomorrow.
