Football Players Quarantined After Positive Cases

Due to three players testing positive, the Hazel Green football team will not practice for at least another two weeks

Waay 31's ashley carter joins us live at the madison county schools central office now with what the district plans to do to keep students safe.

The hazel green football team didn't have a game planned for this friday...but they've already forfeited the game they were supposed to play next friday against muscle shoals.

Madison county schools spokesman tim hall says they found out about the positive cases on monday and immediately sent home anyone who was in close contact with the three players.

He says they are continuing to clean buildings regularly including the athletic complex.

The team won't be practicing for at least another two weeks.

As of right now the trojans first game back is scheduled for october 9th against decatur high school.
