<<ron johnson reporting staff at the community action partnership are facing the tough working for the community amid the pandemic.

[rachael bittiker] we're trying to balance possibly can, but once you run out of it becomes an issue.their main challenge, keeping services they know people depend on, like their head start program, up and staff having to quarantine.[bittiker] head start we have currently 450 children in the head start program that's over four counties.

That program could soon be going virtual after positive cases involving staff.

They say because they're involved in so much community outreach, the impact of the virus' spread locally hits far and wide.

[bittiker] over the last week or so we've seen that spike, the effects of that is trickling down to maintaining and struggling to maintain staff within the programs at cap, not just at head start but across the board.

That the very pandemic that's making things is having a similar if not worse impact on serve, they say remaining able to do that is a [bittiker] we wanna make sure even though we're handicap now and everybody is that we're still making families that we're serving kids are safe, the families are safe and they have everything that they need.

And because they've had to close once already this year due to covid, they say they're ready to made the switch to virtual again if need be.

[bittiker] the good news is is that before remotely and if it looks like that we're going to again we know that it'll be successful again and we'll be okay.
