Sushant Singh Rajput’s father met Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Patna.
The meeting comes as the opposition parties have been accusing the ruling BJP-JDU combine of politicising the actor’s death for political gains.
Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh had on Tuesday cited the AIIMS team findings submitted to the CBI and claimed that an effort had been made to garner votes by politicising the actor’s death and defaming Maharashtra government and Mumbai police.
The actor had been found dead inside his Mumbai apartment on 14th June, 2020.
The CBI, ED and the NCB are probing different angles of the case.
Setting aside their political differences, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and Union minister Nityanand Rai attended the shraddha ritual of LJP founder Ram Vilas Paswan who died recently. Paswans son Chirag was seen touching feet of Kumar and some other senior leaders, who have been at the receiving end of the LJP presidents relentless political tirade during the election season. The Brahm-bhoj as part of the shraddha ritual was organized at the LJPs state headquarters here. The chief minister accepted a laddu (sweet) and met the deceased leaders wife.

Slippers were hurled at RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav during a poll rally in Bihar’s Aurangabad. The leader was sitting with party workers when the incident happened. Two slippers were hurled at the leader. One of the slipper missed Yadav while the second one landed in his lap. Yadav has been campaigning in Bihar ahead of the assembly polls in the state. Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh on Friday requested Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) to investigate the drug connection of actor Vivek Oberoi and filmmaker Sandip Ssingh. "Bengaluru Police have come here to probe drug connection of Vivek Oberoi and filmmaker Sandip Ssingh. But NCB is not taking up the investigation. We will request NCB to investigate the drug connection and if they don't, Mumbai Police will do it," said Deshmukh. Meanwhile, the City Crime Branch (CCB), Bengaluru has served notice to actor Vivek Oberoi's wife Priyanka Alva Oberoi over links with brother Adithya Alva in connection with the Sandalwood drug case, the concerned officials said on Friday.

Investigation in drug connection within Bollywood continues. Actor Vivek Oberoi and filmmaker Sandip Ssingh's names have come up in the case. Commenting on the same, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh said Mumbai Police will intervene if NCB doesn't investigate the case. Deshmukh said, "A committee will be set up to investigate irregularities into the 'Jalyukt Shivar Abhiyaan' launched by the previous state government." "A Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) report says that large scale corruption took place under this scheme," he added.

Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad's helicopter was damaged after its blades broke at the Patna airport on October 17. The accident occurred after the minister got off the helicopter. The blades had hit an overhead wiring at a construction site. Ravi Shankar Prasad while speaking to ANI confirmed that he was fine. Prasad said, "I went to Jhanjharpur for an election campaign. Rotor blade of the helicopter that was used during travel was damaged a little after I deboarded it. I am absolutely fine. We are safe, satisfied and have taken an oath to take Bihar even more forward."
