Glass Incident Fire grows 46,000 acres in 2 days

This is the moment the Glass Incident forest fire rages across large areas after it grew to 46,600 acres in only two days across two American counties. The Glass Incident Fire was first reported to be a 20-acre bush fire but it has quickly grown to a 46,600-acre inferno since it was first reported in Napa County in the early hours of Sunday 27th September. It has since merged with the Boysen and Shady fires which were offshoots of the Glass Fire and formed a complex which grew to its current size burning in the Napa and Sonoma countiesThe video shows the moment the blaze consumes vast areas of land as a jet sound can be heard in the background.

The noise was later found to be a fuel tank bleeding its pressure before it exploded. The video goes on to show a ridgeline ablaze as a large fire on a mountaintop burns above it.

A different ridgeline is seen covered by the blaze which covers a vast area behind it as wood is heard crackling and the video comes to an end. However, despite the shocking footage the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office captioned the footage with “Cautious Optimism” as no further evacuations had to be made after the first two days in which at least 68,000 people had to escape the fire which is “nothing short of a miracle”.
