People came together to show their support for a Monroe County Sheriff deputy hoping to return to work after enduring a horrific experience.

Live:family, residents and members of the monroe county sheriff's department gathered here at river birch golf course to help a deputy injured in the line of duty.

He played in a golf tournament held to raise money for him and to honor his late friend.
