I will pray for you.”Hospital Director David Sanchez Gonzalez said she was “always very optimistic, aware and speaking with doctors” adding that she “is very likely the oldest patient we have assisted, not just in the hospital but in the entire state.”Miss Maria did not require the use of ventilators and remained stable for her stay but doctors did pay close attention as she had a previous pulmonary condition.According to the local press, the centenarian was able to make a recovery given her good health besides her pulmonary condition as she had no signs of hypertension, diabetes or obesity.

However, doctors also credit her attitude during the situation.Doctor Sanchez Gonzalez said: “This is an achievement which fills us with motivation because it makes us feel like all of our efforts on the front lines are worth it.”
