Businessman Bart Williams won the Senate District 15 seat and former Lowndes County School District superintendent Lynn Wright won the House District 37 seat.

Im at the montgomery county courthouse where poll workers just finished counting up the votes..

Voters here casted their ballots for the senate district 15 race.

Facing off in that race are businessman bart williams and former educator joyce meek yates..

Unofficial results have bart williams winning over yates with over 4 thousand votes to 35 hundred and twenty votes.

The winner tonight will replace senator gary jackson.

And we've got the results in for the other racehouse district 37.

On the ballot are former lowndes county superintendent of education lynn wright and businessman david chism.

100 percent of the precincts reporting lynn wright leads with 1544 votes.

Chism has 875 votes.

The winner tonight will replace representative gary chism.

Both winners will serve until january 2024.
