A roseburg lawfirm is blaiming the cause of the archie creek fire on a power company&.

Now they want to sue them on behalf of the victims for negligence.

Kezi 9 news reporter evita garza shows us why some fire vicitims say this lawsuit could be a blessing in disguise if they win.

Mike glastonbury tells me he is still picking up the pieces after losing almost everything to the archie creek fire.?we lost the house, we lost the two shops, we lost the wood shed?

Now he wants answers as to what caused the fire& and he hopeful this pending lawsuit against pacific power will get him what he looking for.

00:06 mike glastonbury: it a no brainer.

They shoulde turned it off and left it off until someone came up checked the lines and made sure everything was clear?

According to a letter from roseburg lawfirm dole coalwell, they found that a tree knocked down a powerline the night before the fire.

They said pacific power failed to clear that tree before turning the power back on& and that caused the fire.

If it true, other fire victims tell me the power company must take responsibility.

00:48 kimberly may:?people lost a lot.

They didn just lose stuff that can be replaced.

They lost memories?

The lawfirm claims they want to use the settlement money to reimburse victims for their losses& because they deserve it after every thing theye been through.

1:02 evita: glastonbury says he still trying to figure out how pay for the rebuild of his two workshops... which were not covered by his insurance.

But if this lawsuit is successful, he says that reimbursement money could be a big help?

It would be nice if someone picked up the tab and say hey, wee sorry you lost 30 years of building or whatever& it a life?

I reached out to pacific power, but they did not get back to me.

The lawfirm plans to host a town hall on thursday october 22 in the old glide middle school gym& for those who have questions.
