In response, city employees from D’Iberville are going the extra miles to help out hurricane victims.

This is - the second time they have been- hit by a hurricane in less- than 2 months so we;re going to- go over there and feed about- 400 people- employees and - citizens and hopefully get a- couple of smiles out of them.

They will leave for louisiana a- 4 in the morning.

- city manager clay jones says th- destruction of hurricane- delta is a reminder of how- disasterous hurricane - katrina was for the gulf coast.- "anyone who was around during katrina remembers how - important it was to have a good- smiling face and a hot meal.- these - people down there are suffering- and they have been- through two storms back to back- it's humbling.

And it - brings back some memories, but- it's good for us and our souls- as- well."

Bobby simmons, streets and- drainage superintendent - "the d'iberville community is just crazy.

If we say we need - help, - we've got people showing out an- bringing stuff.

If they can't - bring - actual donations, then they - bring money and we go buy it, - cook it and do what we do."

The meals include boston butts,- baked beans and - coleslaw.
