Speaking to media in Mumbai on October 28, Shiv Sena veteran leader, Sanjay Raut spoke on whether central government should bring Uniform Civil Code or not. Raut said, "If Mehbooba Mufti, Farooq Abdullah and others want to impose Article 370 in Kashmir with help of China then central government should take strict steps. If any person who wants to unfurl tri-colour in Kashmir is stopped, then I consider it as 'Rashtra droh'." High-priced onions become new normal for consumers in Mumbai

Onion prices continued to surge in Mumbai's Byculla market. Continues rainfall in parts of India led to rise in onion prices. Onions are being sold at Rs 70-80 per kg. Traders used to sell 10 quintals in a day, now it has reduced to less than 3 quintals. A seller said, "Prices have doubled. We used to sell 10 quintals in a day, now it's reduced to less than 3 quintals. We've no idea why supply is less and how long this will prevail."
