Start Something Big: Mike's Car Wash fundraiser for a great cause

Now through Saturday, go to any Mike's Car Wash for the 'Ultimate' or 'Works' wash and 50% of all processes will help support Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Every week, we like to give you an inside look at what big brothers big sisters of northeast indiana is doing in our community.

This week, fox 55's brianna dahlquist spoke with them on how they're using soap and suds to make a difference.

If you've been putting off getting your car washed, now is the perfect time to get it nice and clean.

Alex yaney with big brothers big sister's says giving back and getting your shine on is all worth it.

"this weekend, we have our huge fundraiser with mike's car wash.

It's to get a wash and give a future fundraiser and we've been partnered with them since 2011 so it's been a blessing to have them a part of our crew for this long."

Yaney says they're not letting a little rain stop them, and it shouldn't stop you either!

"it's not looking too great for the weekend so they have extended the fundraiser starting tomorrow, thursday, october 22 until saturday, october 24th.

We only do it for one day but mike's has come back in a huge way to give back and have extended it for three days!"

Yaney says most of the proceeds will go directly to the kids.

"we need funding to underwrite our programming all year long and we also need it for the kiddos to have masks and to provide technology for the students to learn virtually from home."

All you have to do is pick the ultimate or works car wash and 50 percent of your purchase will go to big brothers big sisters!

"not everyone can commit to being a big brother or big sister right now but this is such an easy way and a one-time volunteer way to support big brothers big sisters.
