Despite the pandemic, thousands of people are expected to gather at the Tupelo Fair.

I'm outside of the tupelo fair where people have already started lining up to enter.

I spoke with the city attorney ben logan earlier about how many people can attend.

Tupelo's city attorney, ben logan, said up to 3000 people are allowed to enter the tupelo fair.

Logan said it doesn't go against govenor reeve's guildlines for outside gatherings.

He said 3000 is 25 % capacity of the area and is okay as long as folks practice social distancing.

Those who attend also can't have gatherings of more than 50 people within the fair.

I also spoke to logan about gatherings for halloween.

He said he and other city leaders aren't discouraging trick or treating.

But the halloween events the city usually sponsors, like trunk or treat, are canceled this year.
