MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) - Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger is reminding Georgians to practice CDC guidelines on COVID-19 while heading to the polls.

Our top story tonight at 6: georgia secretary of state, brad raffensperger, asks georgians to remember cdc guidelines on covid-19 while voting.

Raffensperger believes nearly 2 million people will vote in-person on election day, and wearing personal protective equipment can prevent it turning into a super spreader event.

Meanwhile, poll workers will also try to stay safe, but raffensperger says they are still be at risk.

"they're going to have plexiglass divider, they're also going to be wearing masks, gloves and disinfecting everything, but many of them are still in a higher risk age group c1 3 b13 and many of them have underlying health conditions.

Sometimes you don't even know you have one."
