Congress leader Rahul Gandhi mocked Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a poll rally in Bihar’s Champaran.
Rahul said, “PM Modi had promised that a sugar factory would be set up, did Prime Minister Narendra Modi have tea with you all?” Rahul also took a jibe at Nitish and said what Bihar CM did to the state in 2006 is what PM is doing to other states now.
Rahul addressed the rally on the first day of polling for assembly elections in Bihar.

Opposition parties continue to attack the Modi government over the farmer protests. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that farmers are the real strength of the country and urged people to join their cause. ‘If the farm laws passed by the Modi government are good for farmers, why are they angry?’ Rahul Gandhi asked. Meanwhile, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said that farmers are being treated like terrorists by the Modi government. Farmers have been protesting at various places in Delhi and Haryana and have rejected the central government's offer to hold talks on December 3 saying that imposing conditions for starting a dialogue is an insult to them. Farmers have called for talks without any pre-conditions and the Opposition parties have also pressed the government to initiate an unconditional dialogue with the farmers. Speaking on the on-going farmers' protest against new farm laws, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on November 30 stated that the protests are happening on account of misconceptions and dialogue should take place in the matter. He said, "The central govt wants to talk to farmers to dispel the fear of issues in the procurement mechanism. So I believe that dialogue should take place. The protests are happening on account of misconceptions."
A woman was shot at by unidentified assailants in Bihar's Patna. She was shot during a robbery attempt on November 28. The victim has been admitted at Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) for treatment. Speaking to media, a police official said, "The victim has been admitted to hospital and her condition is critical."
Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Sarnath Archaeological Site in Varanasi on Monday evening. The prime minister was accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
