From a deadly gangster to an ace marathon runner, Rahul Jadhav's sprint to freedom

In the early 2000s, Rahul Jadhav was among Mumbai's most-wanted gangster.

Born and raised in Dombivli, not far from Mumbai, he grew up to run extortion rackets on Skype and served as a hitman for a mob.

By the time he was arrested in 2007, thug life had taken its toll - he was left with schizophrenic attacks from substance abuse.

A new book, Gangster On The Run charts his journey to crime and the road back to recovery, and his new life as a marathoner.
