Lee says the state will not force anyone, including students, to get the Covid-19 vaccine.

He says the vaccine will be optional.

But universities and private schools can have their own rules.

Bill lee says students won't have to take the covid vaccine in order to attend school.

In a press conference tuesday, lee said that the vaccine will be optional for students in k-12 public schools.

He goes on to say that the vaccine will be crucial in the state getting a handle on the virus, but wants people to know that it's their decision on whether to take it or not.

...vaccines are a choice.

And people have the choice and will have the choice in this state as to whether or not to take that vaccine.
