The department of corrections is working to contain a coronavirus outbreak at a medium security prison in Boyle County.

A third of the inmates, at the northpoint training center, have the virus.

According to the department's web site...there are 409 active inmate cases, and 15 active staff cases.

The state says 24 inmates and 37 staff members have recovered it.

There's also a new coronavirus outbreak..

At the federal prison in lexington.

According to the federal bureau of prisons website.

There are currently 194 inmates and 18 employees... with the virus..

At the federal medical center.

There were more than 200 cases and six coronavirus- related deaths at the prison over the spring and summer, according to the bureau of prisons.

According to the federal bureau of prisons..

There are 116 inmates and 17 staff members with covid- 19.

The prison in manchester currently has 1,024 inmates.
