A man from Jordan, N.Y., died after crashing his snowmobile into a tree in Lewis County.

It happened last night around 7:45 on north road.
According to the lewis county sheriff's department jason norfolk from jordan went of the trail after failing to negotate a curve... they say he struck a tree.
He was the first on the trail in a group of three snomobilers.
Norfolk was pronounced dead on the scene.
