Several thousand people were said to have rallied outside President Vladimir Zelensky's office in Kyiv on February 23 after activist Serhiy Sternenko was jailed for seven years.
Footage shows the large protest in the Ukrainian capital where demonstrators were demanding the release of Sternenko.
The protesters were heard chanting "freedom for patriots" and "one united, free Ukraine." Sternenko was sentenced to seven years and three months in prison and had half of his possessions confiscated on a charge of abduction and illegal possession of arms.
