Academy for Classical Education Senior commits to U.S. Coast Guard Swimming and Diving

A macon student at the academy for classical education is following his dream of swimmimg.

Senior charles gaines signed today to join the u.s coast guard academy for swimming and diving.

His family says he is one of the first lack middle georgia students to commit swim for a college team.

Gaines says the acheivement would not have been possible without the help of his mom and his friends.

I'm definetely going to miss my swimming friends, since i have been swimming with them ever since i've been here since like 11, i've been knowing them and haning out with them a lot, and so i'm going to miss swimming with them obviously, and so yea, but i am excited.

Gaines says he plans to major in business management.
