Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel felicitated the delegation who secured the release of CoBRA jawan Rakeshwar Singh Manhas from Naxal captivity.
Baghel said that the delegation had shown a lot of maturity in their mediation.
He added that the role of journalists and all other officials in the operation was also very vital.
The Chief Minister also revealed how he made a promise to the jawan’s mother that they would get him back safely.
The CoBRA jawan had been abducted by Naxals after the deadly encounter on 3rd April, 2021.
He was later released by the Naxals on the 8th of April, 2021.
