Sensible call on CBSE exams: Chairman of Medanta Liver Transplant Institute

Central government cancelled CBSE board examinations for high school students and decided to promote them on the basis of internal assessment.

It also announced to postpone Class 12th exams. Medanta Liver Transplant Institute and National Lead Investigator, Chairman Dr Arvinder Soin called it the decision a 'sensible call' and advised other boards to follow the same.

"I think the government took a sensible call to give priority to lives over exams in deciding to postpone/cancel CBSE exams. Other Boards should also follow.

As the numbers surge there will be many students and staff who will have someone infected in their family in the next month or so.

Kids carry infection asymptomatically and transfer it rapidly.

So any exam in this period would be super spreader event."
