Labour's Sadiq Khan said he was "humbled" by his re-election as Mayor of London.
He won 55.2% of the total vote, compared to Conservative Shaun Bailey's 44.8%.
Speaking at City Hall, Khan added: "I promise to strain every sinew to help build a better, brighter future for London."
