Mumbai-based filmmaker Payal Kapadia won the L’oeil d'Or ar the Golden eye award for best documentary at the 74th Cannes Film Festival for her film, A Night of Knowing Nothing.
While studying in FTII Payal Kapadia protested against the appointment of Gajendra Chauhan as FTII Director.
An FIR was also filed against Payal and 34 others for holding the then director of FTII Prashant Pathrabe in his office.
