Retired corporal Matthew Bradford and Dinwiddie head football coach Billy Mills became friends in 2008, a year after Bradford lost both of his legs and some vision in his right eye when he was deployed in Iraq.
Last summer, Coach Mills invited Bradford to the team's weekly Zoom meetings and eventually hired Bradford to join the coaching staff.
