Officials of Japan’s Ground Self-Defense Force say the security environment in Japan is the worst since end of World War II – more than 70 years ago.

For the first time in nearly 30 years, Japanese troops are holding a massive nationwide military drill to make sure they are prepared for potential armed conflict.
