A livestream where I review the 1992 French film The Lover, which is known as L'amant in French.
Unfortunately, the main actors all spoke English in this film, and the production just happened to be French because this is a film pertaining to French Indochina and based on the semi-autobiographical novel more Marguerite Duras.
I ended up having some strong opinions after watching this movie a good twenty years after I first viewed it as a teenager.
The unrequited love angle was so infuriating to me.
