CNN reports the spike in gas prices isn't getting any better in the United States.

According to AAA, the average price of fuel in the country currently stands at $4.87 per gallon.

Which is up 25 cents in the last seven days... ... and 59 cents in the past month.

Per CNN, the only state in the country with averages below $4.30 a gallon is Georgia.

Experts worry that the price of gas will continue to rise.

Some say the national average in the next ten days could reach as high as $5.05 per gallon.

There has been optimism that the United States economy could soon curb inflation, but rising oil prices may dampen such expectations.

If oil prices go to $150, we are going into recession.
