NYC launches "Project Open Arms" back to school plan for Asylum seeking children

New York City announces multi-agency plan to support asylum seeker children going to school this Fall.

The plan, dubbed "Project Open Arms" by NYC Mayor Eric Adams, will encourage agency cooperation from the Department of Education, Immigrant Affairs, social services, and others to give the children a good start to the school year.

The school year will begin September 8, 2022
