Dallas PD to create new police unit dedicated only to Deep Ellum

Right now, Deep Ellum is in the Central Patrol Division for DPD made up of multiple neighborhoods.

But coming this fall, there will now be a dedicated unit working out of Deep Ellum due to recent crime in the area.
