Shadow Attorney General Emily Thornberry says “there has never been a crisis like this”, when asked how much pressure she thinks the NHS is under.
The Labour MP’s comments come as health leaders warn that future NHS strikes could “intensify” the risk to patients, as they urge ministers to reach an agreement with trade unions as soon as possible.
